NOT a 12V power supply This supply only puts out 11 to 11.3 VDC, Which means your LEDs will be 30 to 35% dimmer than if they were supplied by an actual 12V supply. Why is Voltage so critical? LEDs are constant-voltage devices, so in a 12V LED strip it takes 7.2V just to get a sign of life out of the LEDs. The resistor with each group of 3 LEDs limits the current so they won’t burn up, but if the group is not supplied with 12V, they don’t get to full brightness, either. The strip on which they are mounted also has…
Serves my purpose I bought this product to power my camera slider which needed a 12v source, and since it is a portable slider i needed the power source to be portable as well. The one i got doesn’t look exactly like the one in the pictures but it serves the purpose and works just fine.**If you buy this item keep in mind that when charging you need it to be set to ON (I) and not off (O), the wall plug itself has a small led which is red when charging and turns green when fully charged.***Added…
defective battery, strike 2 I bought this battery for a project I’m working on. It worked for about 4 weeks , actual usage was an hour or two. I wasn’t tracking the performance as it was used for a few minutes at a time. Each time I finished with the battery I placed it on charge. Each time I went to use it I noticed it died rather shortly after putting it to work. Last night I went to use it and it died after about a minute. The difference this time is that I made sure it had 24 hours to fully charge. This can be tricky…
