Despite the mixed reviews, I thought I would try these. I have mounted them in a dimly lit, but not even close to completely dark, stairwell and hallway. They are responsive and bright, and have clearly made the stairwell, which is somewhat slick wood, and has a 90-degree turn in it, considerably easier to traverse.
