Bright Solar Post Lights Perk Up Pier at Night I purchased two of these solar post lights for the pier at my summer cottage in Northern Wisconsin. Thusfar, they have proven to be very satisfactory. They emit an appropriate amount of light and improve both the safety and the appearance of the pier at night. I do note that the instructions advise to store them in a place that will not be subject to cold temperatures in the off-seasons. Let’s you know where your dock is in the dark. These look great at night, and they mounted easily and securely on our dock posts. The choice of colors is a nice feature. These are bright but not too bright, just a pleasant glow easily seen for navigating in after dark.I took off one star only because at first—the lights did not seem to work. I installed a pair of these lights at the end of my boat dock and it provides enough light to clearly see my dock in complete darkness both from the water as well as from the house. The solar charge appears to work for several hours (well past midnight) so have no complaints and it lights up enough of the dock to be able to walk comfortably.
