Looks Great and Bright! I have one fixture in my house that uses GU10 bulbs. I have 50 watt halogen bulbs in it that create as much heat as they do light. I was excited to be provided with a sample of this LED GU10 bulb for testing from Torchstar. The bulb arrived exactly as pictured, you can check my pictures below. It fit perfectly in my fixture, which is a small ceiling fan. The Torchstar 7.5 watt LED bulb puts out noticeably more light than the 50 watt halogens, so the claim of 75 watt equivalence is…
Fire the Lazors! (More light than I realized I’d get) Torchstar: another word for “Giant laser flashlight bulbs” These bulbs are amazing! See the photos attached. I went from a 2 bulb, standard style light, with a couple of 60 watt equivalent LED to the 6 bulb Halogen GU10 50 watt style then up to these 6 7.5 watt, 75 watt Equivalent and I swear I see more on/in the surface of my sink by far than I did with the 50 watt halogen. Not sure if its a bandwidth of the light produced or what.Either way, I’ve been quite happy with…
A great example of LED bulbs. Great for photography, very bright and the 5000K color temp looks perfect for this use. Heat output is nil. If you wish to match the typical GU10 halogen bulb, go with a 3000K color temp and most likely a 50 watt equivalent instead of the 75 watt. These are dimmable, however, and sometimes it is nice to have the extra light. Great price, too. With LED prices like this one it is foolish to purchase anything else. The energy savings in the first year will probably offset the cost difference…
