If you’re replacing an old 40w yellow-ish bulb, this will seem 30-40% brighter. And generates almost no heat!! See pics Our kids’ bathroom has this 8 bulb fixture. The prior light was bright enough, but it was a bit on the yellowish side… the real problem was, during the summer, those lights made the bathroom SOO warm. Great bulbs! So far I have installed two of these bulbs in my bathroom to replace compact fluorescent bulbs which don’t last very long due to the frequent power cycling. These bulbs are just a tad brighter after the remaining CFLs have warmed up but of course they reach full brightness instantly. I do not see any delay between when the switch is turned on and when the bulbs come on, unlike some previous reviews.They are as shown, without the usual large base seen on CFLs and many other LED…
