I am used to using headlamps typically with 3 AAA batteries. Comparably this is much brighter, lighter, than what I previously used. The lamp itself is a solid metal, with an ingenious hidden micro USB port for charging that was hidden around the power switch, easily revealed when the power switch is unscrewed.
