Good replacement for CFL bulbs, but two failed already. Reduced Stars. I have started using these bulbs to replace CFL bulbs that die out. The 2700K warm white bulbs give out light which is indistinguishable from the CFLs next to them, they come on instantly, and use quite a bit less electricity. My main objective, however, was greater longevity (less replacement ladder climbing), and on that I (happily) can’t comment yet. I will update this review when the first one gives out, which will give me a first approximate estimate of lifetime in real conditions…
not equivalent to 75W incandescent bulb
Bright! – and good color A (once) standard Incandescent light bulb of 100 Watt rating emits about 1600 Lumens. Lots of LED light bulbs claim to be a “replacement for 100 W light bulb”, but put out far less light – some as little as 1000 Lumens.These bulbs, at 1500 Lumens, appear nearly equal to the brightness of 100W Incandescent bulbs. Also important, they are quite good at color rendering – unlike many compact fluorescent bulbs and some LEDs which can cause colors to look mismatched compared to how they look in…
