I have the 12v light and was happy to see they offered this style of light in … I have the 12v light and was happy to see they offered this style of light in the 20v. So far the big differences other than size between the 12v and the 20v is the color of the light. The 12v has a tighter hot spot, and the color is closer to cool white (5000k). The 20v has a less pronounced hot spot and more of a warm color (3500k). Too much money for so little performance. Good throw, more of a spotlight than a work area light.Magnetic hold is OK – not to strong or too weak; will hold up to minor disturbance, but easily removed from the ferrous metal surface. Not so strong that it will readily damage the surface it is attracted to, UNLESS YOU DRAG IT across that surface.
