Not like the other goose neck lights. This light is bright and sturdy! I honestly thought I was gonna receive another one of those cheap, flimsy, not so bright lights. Boy was I wrong. This light is bright! when I first received it, I turned it on in my living room at night, and this thing lite up the whole 400 sq foot room. Must have for indoor plants with out much sun My house plants would not live and thrive through this winter without these full spectrum grow lights. I like the gooseneck feature because I can adjust the direction of light in any direction I need it depending on the location and heights of my plants. The bright white light is easier on the eyes than the purple hues. The lights do give off a small amount of heat but not so much that you will burn yourself if you touch it. It does not have a timer…
