Low-cost LED Stick with inadequate heatsink design / Dropping to ’50W-equivalent’ when hot Pros :- Very cheap – less than $1.3 per bulb in pack of 8- BrightCons :- Color temperature . It is certainly not “soft white” as advertised. I have many mismatched CFL and LED bulbs that are soft white, and you can never tell the difference in color once the CFLs are at full brightness. Not so with this one. It’s not quite daylight, but definitely not soft white.- These are only suitable for open fixtures. I wish I had known that before buying…
Bought this from my local HarDware store, because it was inexpensive and the design looks intriguing. The ‘bulb’ is shaped like an over-sized ChapStick lip balm. The diameter of this light stick is much smaller than that of a typical 60W-equivalent LED bulb, but its length is actually longer than an incandescent A19 bulb.
