Seriously Flawed Light, DO NOT BUY First off, I’m a handy person and have tackled many house projects. Unfortunately, this light frustrated me to no end and I cannot recommend it. The mount is an absolute joke! It’s a thin metal bar that you’re supposed to flush-mount to the ceiling but, for whatever reason, GE chose not to give you holes that line up with the electrical box. So, you’re forced to drill more holes in your ceiling. Then when you try to line up the side slots on the light to actually mount it, it’s nearly…

Installing method could be better. Holes at side of the base. It would be perfect if it did the following things better:1. The design of screws makes it difficult to install it fully flushed to the ceiling. There may be a small gap, or if you bend the metal bar a bit trying to eliminate the gap, it will be very difficult to install the screws. It would be much better if it were designed a spring hooking mechanism, or screws with guiding heads, or a rorate-and-lock mechanism like many other ceiling lights.2. The installing method…
