A lot of work, but worth it It was a lot more work than anticipated. With the old light removed because the mount had cracked, I purchased these lights thinking (foolishly) that they would be easy to install. The best way to mount them is by using the two bolt threads (about 1 inch long and 3″ apart) centered behind the lights. Unfortunately, mounting it to the fender in the original location meant making a new bracket that would still show some holes where the old one was. I ended up fabricating a new aluminum…
Price per value is how I starred this 5*. For $20 it covers all my tailight needs and looks clean while offering decent lighting. I mounted it on a vertical curved plate mount, sandwiching silicone under it and the plate on top with new holes. I also cut the bolts that hold the actual lights to the bracket off.
