Did not last 50hrs before burning out I am giving this LED light a 5 star rating because it really works great as a grow light – it causes everything in your tank to grow… too many things if your not careful, so I definitely recommend you use it carefully! My cheto algae literally quadrupled in size and became super green and dense, so it definitely works. My “issue” with the too many things growing comment is that I went out of town and left the tank in the care of a friend, who had the light on all day and all night…
Good light, but don’t place it to close to … Originally gave a 5 star because the light initially was awesome and worked as i wanted but i downgrafed because it just didnt work nearly as long as the product description listed. I needed an intense grow light to stimulate algae growth in a freshwater tank. Used this about 2hrs a day in additional to the normal lighting and had it sitting horizontal to the tank about 20inches away.
