It works. It looks really slick in the darkness but as others have said, is very dim. I was looking for something to cast a little ambient light (enough to see by in the dark) and this does not cast any light more than a few inches away. Using the 12v plug also looks unseemly. Worst of all, is the loud, high pitch whine the relay makes. IF I planned to implement this product I’d wire it directly into the plug circuit, and place the relay up under the hood somewhere I couldn’t hear it in…
