Bright and easy to install
Wow, these lamps are great! I bought eight of these to replace four 8 foot florescent lamps in my garage installed in two fixtures. I bought two new T8 style fixtures from Home Depot. Each fixture can accommodate four T8 lamps. It turns out the base of the new fixtures are the same as the old ones. So I left the base of the old fixtures in place and just used the brackets from the new fixtures that hold the tombstones (lamp holders).You can look at the pictures to see how I rewired the fixture to work with…
You’ll be happy if you do your homework first I’m very happy with these. To me they seem noticeably brighter than the fluorescent tubes they replace. I’ve ordered 8 so far and will probably order a few more for my hydroponic unit. I always try to get the “warmest” color available (although I can’t really see the color difference). It’s true that some preparation has to be done on the fixture before using these lights. Firstly, the old ballast has to be removed. That’s fine with me. Who would want to keep those heavy…
