Great prompt support and product. These fit fine and are BRIGHT.Snipping out the old ballast, wire-nutting the wires took a minute. Hanging the fixture back in the 12′ ceiling will take longer.The company responds promptly to emails. I had a question on the 2×4 troffers they are also offering.Will probably buy more soon./edit rewired an existing fixture in the 12′ ceiling. Easier than taking the fixture down. One tube seems as bright as two of my aging 8′ T12 tubes. Old tombstones worked…
Nice, but really white. I bought the 4′ 4000K version of these for my kitchen to replace the HORRIBLE flourescent tubes that had been driving us crazy for years. We absolutely loved them (no more flicker), so when it was time to replace yet another lousy quality electronic ballast in my shop for the 8′ fixtures, I popped for 4 of these. I decided on the 5000K version since I had “cool white” bulbs throughout the shop already. These are MUCH brighter and quite a bit whiter than the cool white flourescent tubes…
They are everything I hoped they would be. I purchased 26 of these lights to replace the existing 8 foot Sylvania Cool White 75 watt T12 bulbs in mid 1990s fixtures with old magnetic ballasts. I knew going in that I would be removing the ballasts and doing some simple rewiring to make these lights work. I also knew beforehand that I was buying the tubes with single point connections (RDC) rather than the twin prongs. Just make sure you know what you want before you press the buy button.
