I purchased these lights to add some whimsy to my large, outdoor potted plants that sit on my back patio. I am not disappointed in this purchase. When I took them out of the package, they did not light up when turned on and nothing happened. I put the solar charger together (slid the stake into the top portion) and placed it outside in my plant. It took me about a minute to wrap the lights around the palm tree plant. I was amazed that the lights lit up at dusk with only a couple of hours…
The white rattan balls are about 1 to 1.5″ in diameter and have different color lights in each ball. It worked right out of the box without needing to be charged first. The lights go on when the light is dim or it is dark, and turn off when it is bright. There are 2 modes, the first one is just solid on and the second is flashing lights. I set this up in my garden.
