This is a great little light except for the fact that the light will only go on in complete darkness, as per the instructions in bold type. I wanted to use it in a bathroom, however the lack of total darkness and the ambient lighting over my bath tub, even with the shower curtain closed, prevented it from triggering onI solved this problem by modifying the unit’s photocell which is located beneath the semi-transparent dome.
