Looks Awesome! I didn’t like the basic black lamp posts that I was seeing at the Home Depot and Lowes, so after searching around Amazon for a while, I came across this post. Price is good, I recieved it fast, it was easy to put together and it looks great. Don’t think you’re going to fool anyone in thinking that its a wood post – its obvious that its PVC since its got that little shine to it, but it doesn’t matter. It goes very well with my white colonial cape cod house and no one else in my neighborhood…
And I did it all by MYSELF! I dug the hole, cemented a pressure treated 4×4 in place- yes it was level- then put the sleeve together- the glue was CRAP! get some fresh stuff before starting the project. I ended up screwing the top two section right into the wood post on two adjacent sides for safety because I’m near the water. I use a solar light: Gama Sonic Prairie Solar-Charged LED Lantern (Multiple Mounting Options).. so I didn’t have to deal with wiring and it has a bit of a lighthouse look when lit…which is great…
