ABOUT INSTALLATION
Basically, it is a pillar light rather than a post light. You can easily install it on a surface on the top of a pillar, or wall, etc. However, some people do fasten it to a pole or a post. There are screw holes in the base that can be used to fasten the light to a pole or post (screws are included).
ABOUT BATTERY The fully charged battery by solar is powerful enough to light up to 6 to 8 hours at night. The battery MUST be fully charged under SUNLIGHT before the first use.

Soooo much better than the ones these replaced. I went cheap with the first set of solar post lights we bought and they sucked from day one. (hate to say it because I love Amazon but they were Amazon’s top choice.) These are soooo much better. They are nicer looking, are way brighter and you can tell just by looking at them they have a much better (and larger) solar panel, plus it’s covered for protection. I wish we had bought these from the start. Could have saved the money on the cheap ones we ended up throwing away that never worked…
Attractive, bright and simple dusk to dawn operation Lamps arrived very well packaged to protect from damage during shipping. Assembly was simple with multiple options for mounting directly on dimensional 4″ x 4″ posts or using an adapter bracket to mount onto a flat surface. Needed to play around a little to understand that you need to twist the fixture 90° to activate the on-off-switch. Also, the direct mounting to a 4×4 was slightly over-sized, probably more from my aged 4×4 pressure treated posts rather than over-sized injection mold…
