So Far, So Good* I got tired of replacing the Optronics trailer lights I’d been using every year or two when they died, so I’m giving this one a try. I took apart the bulb compartment before mounting on my trailer. It is sealed better than the Optronics lights, with an O-ring and better screw holes and screws. Just in case, I brushed some Corrosion X HD on all exposed metal inside the bulb compartment before reassembling.I made two modifications that I would recommend for anyone installing this or…
Not Waterproof
NO Galvanized mounting Bolts!!?? Try removing one of these lights to replace!! YIKES!! NO Galvanized mounting Bolts!!?? Try removing one of these to replace!! YIKES!! The bolts rust people! there is no way to remove, because of design the bolts are supposed to be held by plastic! Of course they put no metal sleeve, that would hold them properly. I just spent over 90 minutes breaking whole light apart & off with a pry bar, cutting bolts off with an air cutter, then using air hammer to punch out remaining bolt lodged in my trailer.The size of the bolts would be difficult to…
