My setup has been this light, heat mat, and a fan all plugged into a Christmas light timer. I shouldâve read the reviews… Sometimes you have to sift through negative reviews that really have nothing to do with the product. Other times, theyâre spot on. I wished I had read the negative reviews more closely. Numerous customers shared that the ballasts will fail shortly into their life. Mine failed halfway through season two, almost a year to the date of purchase. I am left with four of eight tubes operational. Outstanding Light for My Seed-Starting Setup!
