Great light…just some pointers I wanted to wait a few months before I wrote an accurate review. I bought this light (4ft 8 tube)in January to give myself a jump start on the garden. My setup has been this light, heat mat, and a fan all plugged into a Christmas light timer. I’ve grown everything: artichokes, basil, onions, leeks, shallots, celeriac, cotton, peppers and the list goes on, and the light has been outstanding for all of it.I will say I had a bit of a learning curve with it. I shouldâve read the reviews… Sometimes you have to sift through negative reviews that really have nothing to do with the product. Other times, theyâre spot on. I wished I had read the negative reviews more closely. Numerous customers shared that the ballasts will fail shortly into their life. Mine failed halfway through season two, almost a year to the date of purchase. I am left with four of eight tubes operational. Outstanding Light for My Seed-Starting Setup! I have used Hydrofarm seedling heat mats, thermostats, and lighting systems for years now and can attest to overwhelming success these have afforded me in getting my garden plants started in late winter.This particular light is well-made and has four replaceable bulbs.
