Best ever solar motion lights I bought 3 of the Sunforce 180 Lumen motion detector solar lights for our off-grid cabin. Being off-grid, we rely heavily on solar power. Iâve bought many solar motion lights over the years, all previously from the big box home improvement stores. Be seen, from space… This thing is blinding! I let it charge for 4 straight days in an area that was exposed to sunlight all day. It’s mounted from the bottom of my second story deck and lights up the back yard extremely well. The solar panel has a 14-foot cord. I have it mounted to the deck as well. It doesn’t get much direct sunlight at all but it’s either getting just enough indirect sunlight or the battery holds it’s charge well.
